Internet use set to flourish in the Arab world under .arab19th March 2012
Melbourne, Australia – 19th March 2012 – ARI Registry Services can reveal that the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has gained the support of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the League of Arab States to establish a .arab new Top-Level Domain as a digital asset for use by all stakeholders and communities in the Arab world.
The project will see the UAE TRA responsible for the application and operation of the new Top-Level Domain under the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers' program to expand the web's addressing system.
