AusRegistry International Team attend important ICANN Meeting in Cairo, Egypt.2 November 2008
Hot on the heels of the recent release of the New gTLD Program: Draft Applicant Guidebook (Draft RFP), ICANN's 33rd Meeting in Cairo, Egypt has proven to be 'the place to be' when talking new gTLDs!
"Our whole team is in attendance for this important meeting" says AusRegistry International's CEO, Adrian Kinderis. "Not only is AusRegistry International proud sponsors of the event, but we firmly believe there is no better place to be than amongst like-minded individuals who realise the potential of new gTLDs and the impact they will have on the global internet as we know it."
Mr Kinderis continues, "AusRegistry International's presence here as the TLD Specialists has continued to gather interest. It seems the closer we get to a final version of the RFP, the more people are interested in securing a trusted Registry Services Provider to ensure they have the best opportunity to obtain the gTLD or IDN gTLD of their choice."
Mr Kinderis is also a ICANN GNSO Councillor, and a member of the original new gTLD Working Group. "My interest and involvement in the new gTLD process has been ongoing. I am committed to ensuring this is a successful undertaking. It is certainly an evolutionary moment in the history of the Internet and it is vital the process is executed in a open and transparent manner with the involvement of every industry stakeholder. As a GNSO Councillor, we are proud of what has been achieved thus far."
